Welcome to the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University's Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program!
The Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program incorporates unparalleled clinical training settings, a deep commitment to integrated treatment of the psychological, behavioral, and somatic manifestations of mental illness, enormously productive research programs, and a culture of warmth and collegiality.
Trainees develop their clinical skills while caring for patients from diverse backgrounds at Bradley Hospital, the nation's first hospital dedicated solely to child and adolescent psychiatry, and Hasbro Children's Hospital, the state's only pediatric hospital. Our large faculty of seasoned academic clinicians and scientists provide supportive supervision and mentorship, creating lifelong professional relationships. As part of the Brown University Department of Psychiatry, fellows access the academic resources of one of the top research departments in the country. The program offers a flexible, call-free schedule and a livable, affordable, exciting city just minutes from beaches and farmland. Graduates of our program have gone on to leadership roles around the country in teaching, research, and administration.
Train at Brown and you will develop sophisticated clinical skills, provide high quality care to children and families, collaborate with the leaders in the field, and retain time and energy for family and friends; in short, you will prepare for a gratifying and balanced professional life.
