Interview Process

Interviews are conducted on campus from October through March. All applicants will be notified by February 15, 2009 regarding whether or not they will be invited to interview.

The interview day for standard admission candidates includes: a breakfast hosted by current first- and second-year students; a group session focusing on the admissions process, financial aid, and an overview of the school; a tour of one of our seven affiliated hospitals; lunch with third- and fourth-year students; two half-hour, individual meetings with students, faculty, and/or administrative staff who serve as voting members of the MD Admissions Committee; a Q&A session with the Assistant Dean of Medicine (Admissions); and an optional tour of the classrooms/facilities.

Getting Here

Providence, Rhode Island's capital city, is ideally located with easy access to major east coast cities and desirable New England destinations. The city is just 50 miles from Boston and 200 miles from New York City, and is served by an downtown Amtrak station (approximately 1 mile from the Medical School) and T.F. Green Airport (approximately 10 miles from campus).

The interview day begins and ends at the Hope Club, located at 6 Benevolent Street, on the edge of campus. For directions, please see below:

The Hope Club's private lot is located next to the club on Benevolent Street. In the event the lot is full, an attendant will valet park your car.

Please note that driving in Providence can be very confusing. Benevolent Street is bisected by the Brown University campus.
