NEUROLOGICAL EXAMINATION

CASE SUMMARY

This preadolescent child drove his/her bike into a group of garbage cans at the side of a road. The child was not wearing a bicycle helmet. The child has some abrasions on the arms and legs and a red mark on the forehead (pretend or use make-up). The child did not lose consciousness and has been acting normally in the 1 1/2 hours since the accident. You are to do a complete neurological examination of this child.

The faculty observer may ask you questions about what you are doing.

YOU HAVE 15 MINUTES
The faculty observer will give you 5 minutes of direct feedback upon completion of the examination.
