The Outpatient Pediatric Clerkship:
A Guide for Medical Students



Responsibilities of Medical Students



  1. Bring white lab coats with you

  2. Bring a lunch in case practitioner does not stop to eat lunch.

  3. Maintain a log of outpatients seen. Please turn in a totaly tally and a copy of your log.

  4. The Diabetic Clinic has a mandatory pre-clinic conference on the west wing of the third floor in the Coro Building. This also applies to the Endocrine Clinic, but only if you are working an 8 hour shift.

  5. To be sure that all faculty with whom you work have received evaluation forms, check with Helene to see to whom evaluation forms have been sent.

  6. If you are ill, call where you are scheduled to work, and call Helene at (x3406)

  7. Call the office at which you are scheduled and find out the office hours

  8. Make every effort to attend the medical student conference

  9. The written exam begins promptly at 10:00 AM. Location will be announced. Please be on time.
