Clinical Interests:

Clinical Gastroenterology with particular emphasis on community based practice of medicine. I have special interests in inflammatory bowel disease, interventional endoscopy and therapeutic bilary endoscopy. Clinical research projects include multicenter trials studying drug therapies for IBS, Crohn's disease and phase III trails for GERD therapy. More recently we have begun to review local practice patterns and outcome evaluations. Most importantly, however, is my role in medical education. I have particular interests in teaching students, resident and fellows and currently am involve in speaker programs directed to the primary care physician.
