Research and Clinical Interests:

I am interested in the natural history and therapy of chronic liver diseases, in particular hepatitis B, C and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). My research efforts involve the roles of insulin resistance and obesity in the pathogenesis of NASH. Another area of research interest is in identification of host immunogenetic factors that involve in clinical outcomes and treatment responses of viral hepatitis.
