Clinical Interests:

My major clinical interests in Gastroenterology involve the use of endoscopic ultrasonography and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with gastrointestinal disorders. With the use of endoscopic ultrasonography, we are able to more accurately stage patients with common gastrointestinal malignancies. I have been involved in a number of research studies evaluating the efficacy of endoscopic ultrasonography. In particular, these research efforts have been directed at the staging of esophageal cancer as well as cystic neoplasms of the pancreas. My other primary area of interest lies in the management of hepatobiliary disorders such as common bile duct stones, biliary strictures and hepatobiliary malignancies.
