This program aims to identify the necessary data for effective intervention and support longitudinal monitoring of high risk populations to document incidence trends. Training in such research methodologies will also support future AIDS vaccine trials, and prepare for the most cost-effective management of AIDS in the particular, microbiologic and economic environment of those two countries.
