APHA: American Public Health Association
APHA is the oldest and most diverse organization of public health professionals in the world and has been working to improve public health since 1872. The Association aims to protect all Americans, their families and their communities from preventable, serious health threats and strives to assure community-based health promotion and disease prevention activities and preventive health services are universally accessible in the United States.
Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program
Brown University, Tufts University and the Miriam Hospital operate the Fogarty AIDS International Training and Research Program (AITRP), funded since 1993 by the National Institutes of Health-Fogarty International Center (D43-TW000237). The Brown/Tufts/Miriam AITRP currently works with trainees from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Kenya and the Philippines. Over the past 15 years, over 80 foreign scientists have been trained, resulting in 90 peer-reviewed publications and almost 200 presentations at international conferences. Kenneth H. Mayer, MD, Professor of Medicine and Community Health at Brown University, serves as the Principle Investigator.

The Gateway has been created and is maintained by the Kaiser Family Foundation, with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Kaiser is a non-profit, private operating foundation focusing on the major health care issues in the U.S., as well as the U.S. role in global health policy.

UNAIDS: The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS
UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, is an innovative joint venture of the United Nations family, bringing together the efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations in the AIDS response to help the world prevent new HIV infections, care for people living with HIV, and mitigate the impact of the epidemic.
World Health Organization (WHO)
WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.
