Part of the first-year curriculum of the Medical School. Focuses on mammalian organ function, interaction, and homeostasis. Begins with cell physiology and proceeds to systems including muscular, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, urinary, and digestive. Problem-solving skills emphasized. Clinical applications also addressed. For first-year medical students, graduate students, and undergraduates on a space available basis. To be taken concurrently with BI 189. Prerequisites: MA 9, 10; CH 33 or equivalent; PH 3, 4. Enrollment limited to 80. Written permission required.
