An in depth examination of the major classes of transmembrane receptors and channels and their role in biology and medicine, including structure/function relationships, molecular mechanisms of signaling, and dynamic life-cycle (trafficking, internalization). Fundamental concepts in the pharmacological characterization. Required of all first-year students of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology.
