Medical Students
Visiting Minority Clerkships:
Boston Medical Center
Eligibility:
Fourth-year medical students are eligible for month-long electives between August and December
Other Program Specifics:
Program offers assistance with travel, provides housing, and supplies modest living stipend.

Harvard Medical School
Eligibility:
Fourth-year and qualified third-year medical students are eligible for four-week long electives. Third-year medical students must have completed core clerkships (medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and obstetrics).
Other Program Specifics:
The Exchange Clerkship program offers housing to accepted applicants and provides a stipend of up to $350.00 for travel to and from Boston.

John Hopkins University School of Medicine
Eligibility:
Fourth-year medical students are eligible for clerkships in subspecialties and subinternships in the Department of Medicine.
Other Program Specifics:
Program offers financial assistance (registration fee waiver, housing, limited travel assistance).

Mayo Clinic School of Medicine
Eligibility:
Fourth-year medical students who have completed 52 weeks of actual patient care clinical experiences, which includes 32 weeks of basic clerkships and 20 weeks of electives.
Other Program Specifics:
Diversity Scholarship Program offers $1,000 scholarships toward travel and housing expenses.

Mount Sinai School of Medicine
Eligibility:
Third-year medical students are eligible for electives between March and June of their third year; fourth-year students are eligible between July and February of their fourth year.
Other Program Specifics:
Housing and travel costs are subsidized for one month.

Ohio State University College of Medicine
Eligibility:
Third-year or fourth-year medical students.
Other Program Specifics:
The Visiting Student Program offers a $2,000 diversity scholarship for high-achieving applicants to defray the cost of housing, travel, etc. Students selected for the Visiting Student Program must arrange their own housing.

University Hospitals – Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
Application to the Satcher Clerkship

Eligibility:
The David Satcher Clerkship hosts 10-15 minority students annually.
Other Program Specifics:
Deadline for the Satcher clerkship application is June 20th of every year.

University of California – San Francisco

Eligibility:
Fourth-year medical students who have completed basic clerkships are eligible to do rotations in the Department of Medicine.
Other Program Specifics:
Visiting elective scholarship program (VESP) offers up to ten $1,500 scholarships that cover housing and travel; award is granted after rotation is completed.

University of Massachusetts Medical School
Eligibility:
The UMass Resident Recruitment Program is open to fourth-year medical students. The program offers positions between July 1st and December 31st.
Other Program Specifics:
The UMass Resident Recruitment Program offers a stipend to qualified candidates to help subsidize housing and travel during the elective.

University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine
Eligibility:
The Edward S. Cooper Visiting Clerkship offers four-week electives between July and December in subspecialties of internal medicine.
Other Program Specifics:
Applicants accepted into the Cooper Visiting Clerkship will receive free housing and provided a stipend for living expenses and travel-related costs.

Wake Forest University School of Medicine
Eligibility:
The Scholarship Clerkship Program for Visiting Medical Students is open to full-time fourth-year medical students who are in good academic standing.
Other Program Specifics:
Scholarship Clerkship Program participants will receive a stipend for housing and travel. Each rotation is four weeks, and the application must be returned at least three months before the desired time to participate in the rotation.
