Visiting
Professor
The Division of Pediatric Surgery
and the Department of Surgery are honored to be able to share
a two-day visit with Dr. Grant Ramm for Brown colleagues interested
in liver research. Dr. Ramm's visit to Providence coincides with
the AASLD meetings in Boston.
Dr. Ramm has always held one of the most unique perspectives
on the initial triggers and mechanisms of liver fibrosis and
now shares a common interest with us in liver repair. He will
be speaking to diverse groups throughout our campus, as you can
tell by his itinerary, and will be available to visit any labs
should you wish to contact him on Wednesday or early Thursday.
During the time when he is not presenting, we will be presenting
cases to him for consideration at Pediatric Surgery Grand Rounds
to get his basic science perspectives. He will also be working
with the Division on a long-standing collaboration that has been
underscored by the recent NIH grant.
