There are two different clinical electives in ophthalmology offered at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown university. Each elective will count towards the four week surgery-related elective requirement or the eight week selective clerkship requirement.

Clerkships

The department faculty are available for medical students to pursue the following further advanced topics in ophthalmology by one or more of the following scenarios:

  • Independent Study Programs
  • Clinical Preceptorships
  • Research Projects
  • Longitudinal Ambulatory Clerkship (must be approved as an independent study)
  • Community Health Clerkship
