For Patients
The mission of the Division of Ophthalmology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is to further the development of a nationally recognized group of outstanding physicians organized for the purpose of providing comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients in the Southern New England community. The faculty are also responsible for providing teaching and research for medical students and residents as part of the ophthalmology residency training program at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. This program provides continuous coverage to patients from emergencies to outpatients. In addition to general eye care, subspecialty services include:

- Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery
- Ophthalmic Pathology
- Neuro-Ophthalmology
- Oculoplastic Surgery and Orbit
- Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus
- Uveitis
- Optics, Retinoscopy and Refraction, Contact Lenses, and Low Vision Rehabilitation
Our faculty members are board certified in ophthalmology and all subspecialties are covered by physicians with fellowship training in those subspecialties.
The Ophthalmology Residency Program is available to see patients at two institutions that are affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University:
Rhode Island Hospital: The latest inpatient and outpatient facilities are available for all ophthalmic patients. The Eye Clinic is located in the Department of Ophthalmology on the 7th floor of the Ambulatory Patient Center (APC) Building at Rhode Island Hospital.

Providence VA Medical Center: The latest inpatient and outpatient facilities are available for all ophthalmic patients that are veterans residing in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. The Eye Clinic is located in the Section of Ophthalmology on the 1st floor of the “B” Wing in Building 1 at the Providence VA Medical Center.
